Making this temporary home of mine as accommodating as possible, and taking a cue from my brother and his temporary fix to the same problem, we transformed the basement of the barn into a pop up motorcycle shop. We found all the wood in a burn pile and have been using the foundation lip as our shelf.


From right to left: My brother’s ’81 CX500 which he just turned into a hardtail; Our friend’s KTM 125 in the middle of a rebuild; and then my stripped down ’79CX500.

Also, I purchased some used tools off the interwebs:


And scored a table from that same burn pile, should be a suitable place to rebuild the wiring harness… Which my brother keeps taking parts off (only fair as his bike is days away from being ready to rock and mine is weeks).
