This bad Larry came off my daily rider while I was in Paris. Even though it took a good knock, it still worked like a dream. I ended up breaking down the jockey wheels to repack the bearings. While doing this I noticed that the were the original wheels, they appeared black when I first took them off, but after a good soak and scrub they came out in their true colors-ish. They are still a bit dirty, but spin free and actually have a bit of sheen to the top caps.
And as you can see here, at some point in its life, a chain must have snapped, or jumped pretty good as it cut pretty deep into the “aero cage.” Pretty cool, the last derailleur, I think, that Campagnolo did with friction shifters in mind.
